Konungstekja means "King-taking" in the Farewellish, Froyalanish and Wintergleamish languages. It is the legal and cultural term that denotes the coronation ceremony of the King of Elwynn. The coronation ceremony takes place in either the Tower of Araxion or in the Araxion Forest depending on the time of the year and as the weather may permit. In Elw, the coronation ceremony is known as Redizarai.

The Konungstekja has thirteen stages:

  1. Query of Acception;
  2. Elwynn's Proclamation;
  3. Bath of Purification;
  4. Wedding of Kingship;
  5. Oath of Office;
  6. Anointing and Crowning;
  7. Presentation of Regalia;
  8. Oaths of Loyalty;
  9. Hailing;
  10. Vappnatakk;
  11. Rúmleida;
  12. Consummation of the Sacred Marriage;
  13. Hegira.
