The Landsraad is currently composed of the Dukes of the six duchies, namely [[Brookshire]], [[Elwynn]], [[Goldshire]], [[Kildare]] and [[Yardistan]], as well as any Lesser Nobles with votes. Each Duke controls ten votes in the Landsraad, which zie may, if zie wishes, distribute amongst zir Lesser Nobles. The Duke must, however, always have the single largest vote in zir Duchy, and no Lesser Noble may control more than five votes.
The Landsraad is currently composed of all (lower and higher) nobles of Shireroth. This means that every citizen with a county can vote and discuss matters in the Landsraad.

The older system only allowed the Dukes to vote. While there is a call to reintroduce that kind of composition, it's proposed to stay with the current composition of the Landsraad and introduce a council of Dukes which can veto Landsraad decisions.

The Landsraad

The Landsraad is the legislative body of Shireroth. It is primarily made up of the Counts of the land. The Landsraad is overseen by a Praetor who acts to organize, tally and close votes.

The word "Landsraad" is ultimately from the Danish, meaning 'council of the land'. It was imported via the Dune novels by Frank Herbert. In Dutch, a recognised language within Greater Audentior, it has the same meaning as in Danish.

Current Composition

The Landsraad is currently composed of all (lower and higher) nobles of Shireroth. This means that every citizen with a county can vote and discuss matters in the Landsraad.

The older system only allowed the Dukes to vote. While there is a call to reintroduce that kind of composition, it's proposed to stay with the current composition of the Landsraad and introduce a council of Dukes which can veto Landsraad decisions.
