The Universal Holy Catologian Church, shortened to Catologian Church, has its roots in the early Batavian Church of Catologism. It became the sole representative of the True Catologian Teachings after the Prophet, Hieronymus, denounced the Flemish Catologian Church in 5096 ASC as heretical. Since then, the Church pushed to get loose from its nation-based dependency and tried to become a more universal, Micrasian church, with its headquarters in the Theocratic Kingdom of the Islands, which is ruled by the Church.

Archdioceses

The Church uses a geopolitical division to make ruling the Church easier. Each nation which has a decent amount of followers becomes an archdiocese with an Archbishop who represents its own believers towards the Holy Court and Magister. It depends from country to country what privileges the Church holds within its borders.

Some nations, like Batavia and Jingdao in the past, granted the Church the sole privilege to organise the coronation of their head of state.

Kildare / Shireroth

Taodosius' reign brought not only the Church to Kildare, but also officially replaced Soloralist clergy by the Catologian clergy in ceremonies like the coronation.

While Catologian clergy had been around since the arrival of Catologians around 2750 ASC, it wasn't until the move of the South Batavian Magister Miguel Windsor (church leader of the Batavian Church) to Apollo City in 5141 ASC that the Catologian Church of Kildare would be created as the only, by the Prophet recognised, representative of the Council of Gods. In 5175 ASC, the Church seat moved to the Islands. From then on, Kildare became one of the archdioceses.
