The Perpetual Feast is an ancient Elwynnese custom and social event which entails the entertaining, feasting and feeding any Shirithian whenever they choose to drop by in the Lands of Elwyna.
History
The time-honoured custom aforesaid was instituted by the Duchess Mari Greenwood, who was the Fifth Ruler and Fifth Duchess as well as the Sixth Ruler and First Baroness of the Flower of the North. The custom was quite recently, after having been abolished in the Ardashirian reign, revived by the Steward of Elwynn, Storjarl Hallbjörn Haraldsson of the Houses of Ayreon-Kalirion and of the Descendants of Freyja.
Importance
It is one of the ancient customs which provides the Elwynnese Nation with a common, overarching culture for the quite disparate country that the Jewel of Many Facets is.
Location
In the past visitors were feasted in the Ducal Palace, which is nowadays known as Eliria Castle. Since the revival of the Perpetual Feast, its guests are received in the Duchess Mari Greenwood Hall, which is a custom-built mead hall in the capital of Elwynn, the Kingly City of Eliria.
Duchess Mari Greenwood Hall
The Duchess Mari Greenwood Hall was opened by the then Prince, and nowadays King of Elwynn, His Riverine Majesty Thorstein Noah of the Houses of Ayreon-Kalirion and of the Descendants of Freyja. The aforesaid hall is for all intents and purposes considered a Royal Residence.
