Line of Succession

The Line of Succession was a method of succession developed by the Duke Iskander during the White Lily Revolt. The Duke nominates one or two citizens of Elwynn that he announces. This list serves as a fail-safe for the people of Elwynn, that should a Duke become inactive for too long a period, the Council of Eliria is able to force the succession of the next person in the Line of Succession. By decree of Duke Iskander this list may only be amended when the line is broken and then only by the Duke or the Steward of Elwynn.
