Emblem of Kaiser B'Caw I.

Kaiser B'caw I, named after the Cedrist god of spicy chicken, was the royal name of Shyriath Bukolos, who reigned as Kaiser of Shireroth 1566–1567 .

His reign is marked by the secession of Elwynn and Straylight. The Kaiser, however, held his head cool and avoided worse by calmly handling with the matters. During the Elwynn secession, angry mobs attacked the homes of Babkhans, Anticans and Elwynnese in the capital, Shirekeep. Houses were burned down by the rioters but the fire couldn't stay under control. This lead to the Great Fire of Shirekeep in 1567 AN which destroyed the Foreign Quarter.

B'Caw was responsible for reforming the Lawbook, which became known as the Imperial Code of Law, and united Imperial Decrees and the old Lawbook in one. Not long after the Kaiser finished it, however, it wasn't up-to-date anymore (the House System had been de facto replaced by the old Duchy system and the principle of "one count = one vote" in the Landsraad) and it would take until Gaelen IV's rule to get updated.
