Imperial Decree 862

NOOR AS-SALAAM, by the Kharenah of Zurvan, Qaisar Baanooye Sathratiye, to her subjects and retainers, greetings, and unto the gods of Shireroth undying and unthinking obsequience.

Know that We, Mibaradardam be Khorshid va Mah Minamaz dadanam Zurvan, have in the first place dedicated to Zurvan this Decree which by his Kharenah is confirmed for Us and our heirs forever.

The Scourging of Cedrist Heretics

Whereas we have learned to our sorrow that the recusant Cedrists, who refused to accept our prohibition on the consumption of human flesh and the sacrilege of defiling holy altars with forbidden sacrifices, have quit Shirekeep and those communities in Lichbrook and Goldshire from where they have been expelled by the faithful, and have by secret and hidden paths crossed into Our Condominium of Tellia, be assured that we will not rest until that evil religion has been at last crushed and scourged from our Benacian soil.

Know then that it is our intent to travel at the head of the Palatini Corps into Tellia and there to make known our dreadful retribution upon all who have defied us.

For this act, which is carried out in the name of Universal Tolerance and the Highest Divinity, I must renounce all worldly and carnal pleasures to focus on the divine calling before me.

To that end I vest all temporal power in my Steward, His Royal Highness Daniyal Dravot, Khan of Cabbagefall, to rule in my stead until my return, if the Gods be willing, as your victorious ever-conquering sovereign.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF We have caused the Imperial Seal to be affixed to this Decree which We have signed with Our Hand. Given at the Keep this thirteenth day of Araroqpinu in the year after the death of Norton one thousand six hundred and forty-six.
