Hierogamy is a sacred marriage between a ruler and a God or Goddess. In Elwynn this cultural term denotes the Wedding of Kingship between the White Orchid Goddess, who since ancient times is the Matron and Sacred Queen of the Flower of the North, and the King of Elwynn which takes place during the Konungstekja, the coronation ceremony of the holder of the White Orchid Throne and is performed by a senior cleric of the Froyalanish Ancient Ways.
