IMPERIAL DECREE 821: Beautification of Shirekeep

Hear! Hear!

WHEREAS We envision a large beautification and remodeling project to restore beauty, health and vitality to Our Beloved Capital at Shirekeep, to make it a capital city worthy of Our Great Imperial Republic;

WHEREAS We envision the creation of a network of richly landscaped boulevards, parkways and public parks, and the elimination of blighted areas and neighborhoods, and the comprehensive greening of the public realm of the City of Shirekeep;

LET IT BE KNOWN THAT We do by this Our Imperial Instrument create the Shirekeep Reconstruction Commission composed of the Kaiser, the Prefect of Shirekeep, the Scribe of Raynor's Keep, the Steward and any other person We see fit to appoint to realize the reconstruction and beautification of our capital city;

LET IT BE KNOWN THAT We do commit this Commission to focus, but not limit itself, to reaching the following goals:

• An expanded modern sewer system;
• The construction of wide, richly landscaped boulevards;
• The construction of a comprehensive and modern mass transport system;
• Provide increased lighting of all the streets of Shirekeep;
• The construction of monuments;
• The establishment of an updated and uniform facade for the buildings of the city;
• Wherever possible, an organized and symmetrical road system;
• The construction of new parks, and the restoration of present ones;
• The division of Shirekeep into Districts, and the expansion of the city's limits;
• An expansion and modernization of the city's health and safety infrastructure;
• The preservation and restoration of the city's rich historical heritage;
• The removal, reconstruction and redevelopment of blighted areas of the city;
• The construction of affordable housing for the city's poor and disadvantaged.

LET IT BE KNOWN THAT We command that one of these Districts in the City of Shirekeep be named after the late Lady Carol, Hypatia's Mom.
