Froyalan was the name of the Duchy of Elwynn during the Ducal Reign of Duke Harald of Froyalan (1533-1542), a period in Elwynnese history which to the Froyalanish and the Wintergleamish is known as the Nine Years of Gold. Nowadays the name Froyalan refers to the areas where the Froyalanish, one of the Twelve Peoples of Elwynn, constitute the majority of the population.
