The war over Elwynn began on 8.V.1664 when the Imperial Government unrecognized Eki Verion's rule over Elwynn due to a decree which was judged treasonous. Kaiser Ayreon IV, acting on the advice of the Imperial Advisory Council, removed Eki Verion from the nobility and citizenship, and as a consequence, Eki Verion held no more authority in Elwynn under imperial law. Imperial forces were immediately deployed.

The quick war ended ____ with an agreement between Holy Church of the Divine Icebear and the Imperial Republic that stipulated:

• the counties of the Amokolian Islands, Alalehzamin, Araxion, Raikoth, Utasia, and Vattnaland were to become imperial territories, either as dominions in their own right or enjoined with other dominions
• the remaining territories would be reformed as the Great Northern Realm which would take over Elwynn's statehood under imperial law
• the Holy Church of the Divine Icebear would recognize and support imperial law
• the Imperial Republic would not interfere with the religious practices of the Holy Church of the Divine Icebear
