Yardistani Anarchy

The Duchy of Yardistan functioned under this system for many years. Duke and Anarch Gryphon Avocatio is responsible for the creation of this form of government. As Duke it was logical for him to be Anarch so that he could represent Yardistan in the Landsraad, but theoretically the two positions did not need to be filled by the same person.

Eventually, Gryphon made Yardistan into more of a Monarchy after some changes in his political views and the position of Anarch became a title of honour and not a government position.
