Order of Maju

The Magical Order of Maju (or Majuan Order), named after the God of Illusions, is a magical order which is located in the Imperial County, near Shirekeep.

The Order uses its knowledge about nature and its power for the convenience of the human kind. In contrary to Gralen magic, they only trust nature: they can't create anything out of nothing and using their power is time and energy consuming in which communication with the nature around them is necessary.

The use of this kind of magic for bad reasons can darken and poison the heart and mind of the mage who's using it. For that reason, dark magic is forbidden and most documents were destroyed long ago to avoid abuse of the power.

Because of their special connection with nature, the persons who want to learn the Majuan magic have to train for years in the headquarter of the Order. Not only magic, but also diplomacy, respect for life, medical knowledge and priestly duties are learned to the novices. At the end of the training, which often begins at the age of 5 year and ends at 15 year, the novice becomes an official member of the Order. The best students can even become members of the Majuan Council, which has a lot of influence over politics.
