The column of Gaelen IV is a Shireithian triumphal column in Shirekeep, which commemorates Kaiser Gaelen IV's reign during the Fifth Era. It was constructed under the supervision of the architect Apollodorus of Audentior at the order of the Kaiser and Landsraad.

It is located on Kaiser's Boulevard, built near the Multi-Temple. Works began in 4280 ASC and haven't ended yet. Even while it's not completed yet, the freestanding column is already most famous for its spiral bas relief, that artistically describes the reign of the Kaiser in detail.

Frieze

A continuous frieze winds up around the tower from base to capital. The relief portrays Gaelen's arrival at the coast of Musica, his entrance in Shirekeep, the ascension of the Imperial throne, him looking to the creation of temples and palaces. At the end the Kaiser is brought to the Valley of Mors and eventually ends up in his tomb.

Inscription

An inscription upon the column reads as follows:

"The Landsraad of Shireroth and people of Shirekeep dedicate this to the Kaiser,
Protector of the Apollonian Heritage
and Ruler of Shirekeep and Skyla in his 52th year in office,
to demonstrate of what great height the hill was and place that was removed for such great works."
