The Flag of Herrinova

Herrinova, aka New Bomburg, was a franchise island micronation established by Ryan Caruso after the destruction of the original Bomburg Island project. Bomburg was a project created by Austi Scot that functioned as a micronational resort, casino and roleplaying community. It engaged people to invest in it and develop portions in order to obtain prestige and profits. The economic simulation of the island was quite successful for a time before the volcano exploded and destroyed it. Which, in actuality, was more roleplaying on behalf of Austi Scot, who had decided to leave micronations and deleted the forums in the process.

Ryan Caruso annexed the empty island as a private domain with aid from the Kingdom of Babkha. Originally designated two names, Herrin and Bomburg (Bomburg being the roleplaying name of Austi Scot's royal family), the island was rechristened as Herrinova (New Herrin). In the process of being named Herrinova, the name of New Bomburg was also attached to it by residents of the original who were still in the micronational hobby. Caruso attempted to bring back the resort and casino, plus roleplaying aspects of the state, but only managed to gather a fraction of the former participants.

Herrinova was later annexed to the Kingdom of Babkha and became an extended colony of the Satrapy of Báatharz (Bathland).
