Notes

The Yardistani Workers Revolution was a revolution in Yardistan that lasted from 5788 until [].

Events

Strike

The revolution started with the steelworkers strike in Novi Nigrad. The strike was called by SUY (Steelworkers Union of Yardistan) leaders David Ramsay and George Delph in a response to the rumours of restoration of feudalism and the large scale of downsizing in the steel factories of Yardistan. Due to the bitter economic circumstances and the decrease of the armed forces in the State after the merger of Yardistan with Goldshire, the steel factories have ran out of orders.

The strikers demanded an immediate stop on further "feudalisation" and wish to halt the ill-fated merger with Goldshire so that Yardistan can once again run its own affairs. The SUY also demanded increased wages, more orders and government provisions to enable the steelworkers to keep their jobs.

The strike was met with hostile reactions from local authorities representing the government and led to tentions in Yardistan itself, especially between the more conservative Yardistani's on MASS and the progressive socialists in Yardistan.
