Sonoma

Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park, California is the current or former college of many Shirerithians, including Erik Mortis, [[Alexandra Decens]], Jessica Doran, James Raine, Eros Darkstar, and Eriana Moon. Both the first and second ShireCons were held there, the first in May 2003 and the second in September 2004. During ShireCon '04 it hosted the only offline meeting of the Landsraad to date in Ives Hall, as well as a Shirerithian procession across campus. The Landsraad decided to make Sonoma County the offline capital of Shireroth. Many of the pictures on Shireroth's website are from Sonoma State University, including the hills in the background on the logo. Sonoma is online at http://www.sonoma.edu.

Other Uses

A "Sonoma" is a colloquialism referring to a high-speed internet connection. This stems from the fact that the dorms at Sonoma State University have really bloody fast internet connections.
