The Iceflower is a ship currently owned and operated by Willowshire Shipyards but acting essentially under independent jurisdiction of its Captain, Tiberius Jones, due in part to the collapse of government in the Brettish Isles as a result of the potato famine. The ship carries 104 passengers with a crew of 35. It is a typical merchant ship of Brettish style and design – square-rigged and beak-bowed, with high, castle-like structures fore and aft that served to protect the ship's crew and the main deck from the elements. The Iceflower measures about 100 feet in length from the forward end at the beak of her prow to the tip of her stern superstructure aft. She is about 25 feet at her widest point, with about 12 feet of keel below the waterline. The maximum cargo volume of the ship is around 180 tons (163 MT).

The Iceflower in port

Voyage of the Iceflower

The Iceflower left the port of Montfort early in the morning of Spring 1642 AN bearing due east. Journeying across relatively calm waters for two weeks the ship docked in Hampton Bay, a small Shirerithian port, in order to re-supply.

After making good winds, the Iceflower followed the eastern coast of Keltia as far as the Arbor Isles in Stormark, stopping only briefly to re-supply. Small stops were made along the way to replenish water supplies, such as a brief jaunt into the ruins of New Alora. But in these instances only the Captain and two or three crewmen went ashore to refill the water casks.

The next stopover was in Port Impregnable, in Calbion, where the ship was docked and major supplies replenished. The stop also gave the passengers a chance to disembark from the ship and enjoy a day or two in the port. After leaving port the ship encountered foul weather and was forced to make another stop in the Skerry Isles. Two passengers were lost in the storm - washed overboard by the immense waves.
