OoC: Green dragons? Ryan, green dragons are woodland creatures, damnit! How can you expect those things to fight in the water? If you hadn't just landed, I'd have sunk half of your fleet . As it is, I guess I'll just have to make lemonade... but it means that this post will suck...* ari returns from his travels around the world ** hurries to the Ops ** immediately upon entering the war room, is addressed by the commander of the base *"Alpha Rahikkala! The Volsaarns and Cimmerians are landing on the coast of Goldshire!""Volsaarns and Cimmerians? What the fuck are you talking about?""The... ah... you left before we got the knowledge about them joining the fray. I'll brief you but we're in the damndest hurry of our lives so if you're going to use those magic powers of yours you'll have to do it soon. The Volsaarn Legions and the Cimmerian Cossack Brigade have sent an escorted transport fleet of troops to fight against the Golden Horde, and we have only had marginal success in our strikes against them. On other fronts, the war has been complex and it will take a long time to explain it...""I get your point already! Beach yourself, commander, and call everyone in the base and around it to do the same. I need everyone on a one hundred meter radius to do the same."* after five minutes, Ari is the only sentient being in the water near the base, and he is floating on the surface, facing Goldshire *"Ahti vedenjumala! Kaitse poikaasi hädässä! Anna voimasi, ja käytän niitä kunniaksesi!"* the surface of the water suddenly drops a couple of centimeters and a loud lightning-like crackling is heard. Then it returns to its earlier position as if nothing more than a wave had passed. The result of this, a wave starts moving towards the coast of Goldshire, growing suddenly as it reaches the continental shelf, and amassing dozens of meters of height before reaching the shore ** the tidal wave washes over the troops of colonel Caruso, immediately killing some hundred men, and leaving the rest with trouble ranging from wet clothes to the loss of all useful equipment and the usability of a couple of limbs ** ari floats still near the Ops for a while, then suddenly remembers one thing: *"DEXTER!""I attacked the place where Dexter lives!"* porpoising like insane, Ari begins travelling towards the coast of Goldshire as fast as he can. The commander of the Ops gets back to work, a bit confused by Ari's sudden leaving without telling where he was going to now * In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to a Finn.

The Soldiers hadn't been sleeping well lately, maybe it was the fact they were involved in a civil war that could have lasting effects in history or maybe it was the damn army food that they were eating but, finally, one night an officer realised what it was that was that was keeping them from sleeping soundly. For on that night he heard it, distant, faint, yet he knew for certain what he was hearing. For this officer's family hailed from Lothlaira and once you have heard the horn of Lothlaria being played on a march you do not soon forget it. He could picture what was happening as clear as day. The rows of spearmen marching forward, the banners flying proudly of each company, the drums beating loudly and of course the horns. Yes, once you have seen the colour, the noise and the volume of a Lothlarian march, It is not a scene that passes from your memory, nor is it a scene you wish to face in battle. The officer snapped from his daydream and rushed off to tell his commander about his discovery.

*about an hour before dawn 3 armies crossed the river Elwynn and approached the battlefield at the ridge. Waiting several miles outside the conflict the armies sat as the battle raged on. The united banners of Brookshire and Yardistan could be seen above the mass. The two banners fluttered in the breeze, along side a third unknown banner. Based on the Yardistan flag, it appeared to be a combination of several flags into one. Brookshire, Yardistan...and several others, including nations that could not be recognized by most, but by some were known as Tymaria, the Hegemony of Alexandros, Babkha and the trappings of the now silent League of Micronations, among others.**Another smaller army about 1/3rd the size of the one in Goldshire, moved north and crossed the Northern fork of the Elwynn. At Dawn, or shortly after, this force entered the Duchy of Elwynn and began to gain speed, and seamingly size, as it moved north toward the Elwynn capital city.* E. She is involved in a protect at Ptia that requires her full attention. There are already very many people defending Goldshire so hopefully we will not need to get involved.Please excuse me. Tel iluov' rai' kai! Let no rebel Goldshirian live!That was the call echoed across the battlefield as the Volsaarn Legion marched in front of the Cimmerian Cossack Brigade. Lines upon lines of infantry armed with plasma discharge rifles, in their green and blue uniforms, laser swords dangling at their sides, marched across the rolling hills stretching southward along the Elwynn/Goldshire border. The Cossacks, an equal mixture of cyberhorses and battletanks, flanked up along the rear and sides of the infantry in columns. The fleet had landed, along with the Cimmerian Dragon Squadrons, just a few days ago. Camp had been made and supplies rationed out to troops. The route had been plotted - Count Volf's troops would march southeast to reinforce Goldshire.But something had happened. Radio communications had broken off just in time to hear that Shirekeep had fallen to rebel forces. Time for a change of plans.The Cimmerians began their march southward again, but this time along the western shores of the River Elwynn. The rebels occupying Shirekeep would be smashed.GLORY TO GOLDSHIRE!GLORY TO THE KAISERESS!GLORY TO SHIREROTH!

(OOC: Sorry, I've been enjoying wholesome summer activities)*As the day wears on the two armies go no where. By late afternoon the fields below Courwell Ridge are a sea of blood. Thousands of slain bodies cover the earth making it hard to fight, but still the storm of swords and the hail of projectiles continues to rage on.**Paraxylsis engages HICKTOP SAILOR. The two duel for ten minutes, their plasma blades lashing out. Suddenly, a downward thrust by Paraxylsis sneaks by HICKTOP's counter blow and pierces his armour. His face like a stone, HS drops. Paraxylsis raises his sword...*"This is what you get for trying to interfere with my plans. Prepare to meet your HICKTOP..."*Suddenly, the blade is knocked from Paraxylsis' hand as Tempus, War God incarnate approaches...*"Ah, so I shall slay a troublesome zealot and a deity in one day. Most excellent."*The two draw near. Paraxylsis takes up his sword again and draws out an inferno-knife as well. As the battle rages around them, the two clash in an epic battle.*

The Volsaarn Legion and Cimmerian Cossack Brigade continued to march non-stop along the shores of the River Elwynn. The going over the Balor Range was rough, but the new Battlepanzer MBT designs were taking the heat. Even the augmented cyberhorses were keeping pace with the armoured battalions. Unfortunately, infantry forces were slower. Only Omnimechs were able to keep pace, while the majority of the Legion lagged behind.On the southern side of the mountains, the rolling hills gave way to a clear stretch of forest. "We'll make camp here!" yelled the General Zmaj. Zmaj, a Cimmerian of Novi Dalmacijski descent, had been sent in leave of Tsarevich Void.Camp was soon established along the riverbank, and a few portable hydroelectric generators had been hooked up to recharge some of the simpler, non-ionic cybersystems. They would rest now, for tomorrow they would attack Shirekeep and retake the capital.

General Zmaj noticed the Yardistani flag immediately "HOLD YOUR FIRE!" he called to his troops, who were preparing to attack Shirekeep. "The Yardistanis are marching on the south. We must secure the north now. Establish a perimetre at the two northern tributaries of the River Elwynn, just south of Mount Brio. We'll flush the rebels out of Elwynn one section at a time."The Volsaarn Legion and Cimmerian Cossacks marched back up over Balor, leaving south Elwynn to the Yardistanis. The Cimmerians found the area around Brio unoccupied, and easily established perimetre bases at both areas. Similar perimetres were established along the eastern and western borders. The rebels were sourrounded now.It would only be a matter of time before they fell.Meanwhile at Wolfraven...The 2nd Longship Fleet had loaded up with troops and was disembarking for the west. Their destination at this time was unknown...

(OOC: I'm pretty fucking confused about who is fighting who. Luckily, the Elders have no friends but their followers. Nice job on the map, WV.)*Rolling and dodging, Paraxylsis avoids the mighty blows of Tempus. Sweat dripping down his face and stinging his eyes, he is suddenly struck in the side and flies backwards. He feels his right arm and realizes that it is no longer there. With a look of horror on his face, he watches as Tempus charges towards him*Bastard! You'll regret this! The Elders have magics more powerful than the gods themselves, and they will soon bequeath the knowledge to me! Me!*Just before Tempus brings his mighty weapon on the Lord-General, Paraxylsis mutters a line of strange words and disappears**Suddenly, the entire Golden Horde vanishes. The Battle of Courwell Ridge ends, leaving the United Armies in control of the field. However, scouts soon report that the Horde, still 4,500 strong reappeared through a portal north of the Ridge, just hours away from the royal city of Goldshire.**The entirety of the United Armies begins the chase. Meanwhile, Paraxylsis is tended to by healers as his remaining force marches onwards, their teleportation magics depleted.**Paraxylsis, sitting on the edge of a MedWagon, yells orders at his lieutenants.*"You there! Send word to the rebels in Shirekeep! Raze the city! Put it to the torch and then escape from the YAC forces.""Take a regiment of 150 men and head into the countryside just in front of the Cimmerian host. Scorch the earth and sack all the villages! Let those damn Cimmers march through all PRH before they reach us!"*As dawn breaks and the Horde nears the capital, various contingents of Paraxylsis' forces carry out his orders. Shirekeep begins to burn as much of Goldshire's pristine country land is reduced to cinders and ashes.*

Ops Center, Straylight"Captain, sir! We've recieved word from the Lord-General to proceed with Operation Endgame," said a young officer, his eyes scrolling across a way-mirror that was relaying commands.The captain frowned. "But it isn't supposed to begin until Goldshire Hamlet is under our control and the palace is secure."Shaking his head, the young officer insisted, "That's what the orders say. Lord-General Paraxylsis has made himself quite clear. 'Open up on the bastards.' That's what he wrote.""Then it shall be so. Open all silos," he commanded. "The last of our weapons, the new ArcIIs, will be fired."A few minutes later a technician cried out, "Silos open!""Activate the ArcIIs.""Activated, sir."The captain waited for a moment and then, with a sigh, said clearly, "All silos launch."*Fifty missile silos scattered and hidden across Straylight open up and release their payloads. Fifty ArcIIs begin their brief trip to the other side of Shireroth. Minutes later, the fifty upgraded arcana bombs begin to strike down. Cities in Elwynn, Goldshire, Brookshire, and Cimmeria are hit. The ArcIIs explode, their fury ravaging whole sections of the target cities. Some go off course, exploding in uninhabited areas. A few fall into the sea.**The United Armies and the Golden Horde had all paused to watch the deathly angels soar overhead. They then watched in amazement as blips of fire rise on the horizon.*

*Poet swings his sword furiously, cleanly cutting a tree in half.*(Pissed as all PRH) Those bastards! This cannot be allowed to continue. (Raises voice so that all forces around can hear) This must end now! They have destroyed our homes! Our lands! If we let them, they will take our very pride! We will fight them now, before they may strike again! We will beat them back! And when they are defeated, we will shove our swords down their Elders' throats!*Raises sword as the troops cheer, rallying around Poet*Let's get there before they recover, shall we?*Snaps fingers. After a half a minute, nothing seems to happen. Then, a series of squawks is heard. In the distance, what appeared to be a storm cloud forms into a few hundred giant black birds, all flying toward the United Armies. They soon land, surrounding the Armies.*(smirking) Hop on, everyone! Next stop, Golden Horde!*With a cry of delight the United Armies climb aboard the birds, flying toward Goldshire. By bird, the trip is much faster, giving the United Armies extra time against the Golden Horde. ~The Solitary Poet of Delvenus
