New year's eve at Ric's
Brother decided to shave his stomach. Fail.
His hair follicles (?) got inflamed. Fail.
His stomach itched, all day long.
After a long time's whimpering about the whole ordeal, brother went to mum and asked her for something to grease the whole thing with... so the irritation would stop. "Yeah OK, just get it" mum said, and he went off to get the cream. "Now", he ordered her. "You do it".
"Oh come on, be a man! I'm not going to."
"But it's difficuuuuuuuuult"
---
And I, in the middle of everything got a fever. So no new year's parties for me

At times like this, I'm grateful I have no siblings.

New Year's Eve in Cork has been a bit better so far. Ardashir and Eoin are visiting, and we met Eoin's girlfriend today. She seems nice. We got to play a role-playing game in which we were all the children of mythological deities. Eoin was game master, Liz (Eoin's gf) was the daughter of the Irish earth goddess Danu, I was the son of Egyptian god of truth Thoth, and Ardy was the son of Loki. It was pretty interesting. Then Eoin and Ardy went out to party and I stayed in to talk to my parents on Skype. I'll probably get yelled at for not partying later on, but I'm glad I got to welcome the new decade quietly in my own house.

Yeah? You know?
Re: New year's eve at Ric's
Sounds like an interesting game. It reminds me of the Percy Jackson novels.
Me and the wife aren't doing much to celebrate. We watched District 9 on Netflix (very good movie btw). Made some coffee with Bailey's. Now we're puttering around on house renovation projects.

Played a bit of game of Scion as the child of Quetzalcoatl. It's interesting, probably would have been more so if it could have finished.
