From a distance I'm concerned about the rampant lawyerism manifesting itself in Shireroth currently. A simple Kaiserial slap on the wrist or censure by the community should suffice. - Jacobus Loki

EXACTLY! WHICH IS WHY AMERICA SUCKS!
Actually yeah, I would put down "literally seeing trillions go up in smoke" as probably not the suggestion Keynes wanted when he said government should spend big on investment ....

well you have to realize the economy isn't at this point and time something the goverment is supposed to be running, they oversee it of coarse but don't actively influence it, hence why they don't spend money on it.

National defense however is something which is strictly run by the national government. Also military activity be it war or just buildup of arms does produce jobs. since to my knowledge most American military hardware is built in the US.

The problem is, we're throwing trillions of dollars into another country while we're letting ours rot. That's not right. It's the governments place to provide and care for the people it rules over, not invade and change other countries with the money of its people.

More likely, jobs will leave NYC. Simply costs less to do business in North Carolina.

You could infuse a thousand jobs into the Albany area and it'd still be a dump (i.e. Green Island). :P

Yeah, I have in-laws up there. Schenectady has a microclimate of sorts. If you can classify hellhole as a biome that is.
