Gottenburg

Gottenburg is a small city in the east-central region Mishalan that was briefly the capitol of Vastergottland, a small duchy within the Royal Province of Mishalan during the early days of the Kingdom of Amokolia. As the name suggests, the region was home to the Gotts, which were a separate tribe from the Mishalanski and others that settled in the area. Like most tribes along the Elwynn, the Gotts were of Hyperborean lineage, and likely arrived with settlers coming from Cimmeria - indeed the two share many similar language characteristics. The Gotts were, however, never very numerous, and their culture and language was eventually subsumed into that of Mishalan. While the Gotts themselves no longer exist as a distinct culture, Gottenburg maintains many architectural remnants from the era that highlight their unique contribution to the area. The Cathedral of Gottenburg, for example, has become a major tourist attraction.
