KITANUS CITY, Shireroth -- A Santa Cruz, Calif., man, now a public affairs specialist in the United States Air Force, found his way into micronations in April 2002.

Steve Musal met James Raine at orientation for Sonoma State University, and during the resulting correspondence, Raine introduced Musal to micronations.

Musal first joined Shireroth, then quickly joined Delvenus as well, taking minor leadership positions in both nations. Despite an off-again, on-again relationship with micronations as a whole, Musal generally considers himself a Shirithian at heart.

"Shireroth is one of those places I keep coming back to," he said. "I swear, I'm getting to be as bad as Erik."

Musal has been a Baron (Kitanus Fields), Duke (Goldshire), and Praetor in Shireroth; a governor, Duamirathius, and the Solomirathius of Delvenus; and a proud citizen of Audentior, Tymaria, and old Menelmacar.

He is currently the Baron of Lumina's Light, encompassing three counties - including his beloved Kitanus Fields. He also serves Shireroth as the Minister of Military Affairs.
