Mount Yaanek

Mount Yaanek is one of the most historically important volcanoes on Micras and pretty much unrivalled in the place it takes in the minds of people. Through various violent eruptions throughout time, it really has left its mark on the planet.

Location

The volcano is located in the middle of the Isle of Bifrost, which is the larger of the two Hyperborean islands - the other being the Isle of Volsung - that form the Duchy of Raikoth, which is the most northern Princely Precinct of the Elwynnese Union. The Royal City of Tala, the largest city and regional capital of the Duchy of Raikoth, stands on the volcano's lower slopes.

Divine Dwelling

Mount Yaanek is since ancient times the dwelling place of the Treesian and Vanic Goddess who is known as the Lady Elwynn Kwendia Eiseamlars- og Spedomhainsdóttir of Mount Yaanek and the Tower of Araxion and who also is the Matron Goddess and Sacred Queen of the Flower of the North. The Lady Divine Elwynn lives there in a magnificent palace that is called the Hall of the Heart of Yaanek and which is situated in a massive natural cavern in the center of the volcano that is known as the Heart of Yaanek.

Sacred Site

The aforesaid volcano is, together with Araxion Tower, the most sacred site of faith and worship for the Froyalanish Vanafolk as it was here that the Goddess Elwynn entered their hearts, minds and worship during the Ducal Reign of the Duke Harald of Froyalan (1533-1542). The Lady Divine Elwynn is nowadays considered a full Vanic Goddess by the Vanafolk and much of their worship is centered around Her.
