Laqi Schism

The Laqi Schism is a term which is used by historians to describe the months August and September 2010 in which the county of Modan Lach, the Duchy of Elwynn and Duchy of Straylight tried to secede from Shireroth.

It got its name thanks to the declaration of independence by Modan Lach as the Free Laqi Republic, which was the first in a series of secessions. Ironically, only Straylight and Elwynn succeeded in getting their independence, while Modan Lach was reincorporated in Shireroth.
