The Defence Directorate of the Puritanian Guidance Authority, usually abbreviated to the PGA Defence Directorate (PGA-DD) is a division strength vexillatio or detachment from VI Corps of the Exercitus Limitanei assigned to assist with the pacification of the recently annexed lands of the far west of Benacia which have been organised into the Confederate States of Puritania.
The PGA-DD is primarily concerned with combating Siseran terrorists, Batavian separatists, and fugitives from the losing side in the Wars of the Dark Orchid while simultaneously building up the strength of the local confederate militias and self-defence forces.

History
- 1642.6310 AN.ASC: Established as the Dietsland Expeditionary Force under the command of Legate Legionis Laqi Hyrrion;
- 1642.6325 AN.ASC: Reorganised as the 5th Imperial Army Division (Dietsland) and assigned to the Puritanian Guidance Authority (PGA) under the auspices of the Chamber of the Crypteia.
- 1644.6367 AN.ASC: The division was reinforced by the arrival of the Scholae Evocati from Shirekeep, as part of the reduction in the overall strength of the Palatini Corps sanctioned by the Commissioner of the Crypteia, Tokaray al-Osman during the Kaiser's absence in Elwynn.
- 1644: Oustfest Massacre - Laqi Hyrrion deposed and dismembered.
