Relieving Lord Kern of his Duties
We have a responsibility of safeguarding the independence of the Imperial Judex. With the appointment of Lord Benkern, Count of Mar Sara, to the position and office of Arbiter of the Imperial Judex arises a conflict of interest between Imperial Judex and the Imperial Inquisition. The extremely intimate relationship between Lords Benkern and Kern makes a continued role for Lord Kern in the Imperial Inquisition insurmountable.
Accordingly, with regret, We relieve Lord Benjamin Sebasokrator Timothy Quentin Kern of his position in the Imperial Inquisition, effective immediately.
