The Vanamaðr also known as Homo Sapiens Vanadiens is a subspecies of Homo Sapiens which has been created by the Vanir Gods who have also put part of themselves in this human race. The vast majority of the human population of Froyalan as well the almost the entirety of the human Vanafolk is composed of these human beings.

Vanic Creation

Due to the Lords and Ladies Divine having put a larger of themselves in the Vanamaðr than in other human races created, there are considerable differences between the Vanamaðr and those other human races.

Making of the Vanamaðr

The Vanamaðr was created by the Vanir in a magical cauldron from mixing their saliva with the blood of carefully selected humans from the races Homo Sapiens Sapiens and Homo Neanderthalensis. To that mixture was added elf blood, juice from Idunn's apples and the Mead of Poetry. A powerful spell was cast and the Vanamaðr came into being.

Differences with other human races

The Vanamaðr has two hearts, is taller, stronger and more handsome, develops faster, lives longer, ages gracefully and in good health, is more spiritual, connects easier with the Gods, and is much less prone to disease and illness than other human races.

Relative age calculation

One can calculate the comparable age of a Vanamaðr to that of a Homo Sapiens Sapiens and/or a Homo Neanderthalensis by multiplying the Vanamaðr's age by 1.5.
