The office of Taoiseach is the highest executive office in the Grand Commonwealth. The Taoiseach is elected by the Majlis-i-Dharma at the beginning of each session, and remains in office unless the MiD passes a motion of no-confidence. The Taoiseach derives their power from the Charter of the Grand Commonwealth. In effect, the Taoiseach has full executive power over the nations affairs. The first Taoiseach, Lachlan Powers, introduced a system of Advisors to delegate some of the authority vested in the role to other citizens. There have been calls however for a formal system of Ministers to be introduced.
