A National Executive, usually within a Commonwealth. Not to be confused with a Regent or a Steward, the Lord Protector holds power in his own name on behalf of the Commonwealth.
Micronationally, Puritania's executive was caled Lord Protector, and there was a Lord Protector in Verelexia.
Loki III appointed a Lord Protector to rule Elwynn until order was restored.
