History
Benacia is named after the continent of which the bulk of Shireroth lies on. During its earlier ages it was part of the Khaz Modan Empire. Recent archaeological finds have shown that Benacia during the Khaz Modan age was the center of culture for the northernmost parts of the empire, and a holy city for the Cult of Ikol, god of Tranquility. This may be because of the county's many lush forests and clean, crystal clear springs and streams. Most of the early natives, the Flotillans, however, lived offshore and worshipped ancient gods who are now long forgotten. The Line of Mortis also set down roots on this lovely isle!
Economy & Culture
The Benacian economy is based mainly on fishing. As you can imagine, the Benacian diet consists mainly of fish. Many shrines and temples dot the shores that were once used by the native Flotillans when then came ashore to worship them go back to their ships for the rest of the year. These temples are major tourist attractions. Benacia is also known for it's beautiful Ikol and B'Caw temples.
