The Leonid Guard is an armed force for the protection and provision of any other services necessary to the members of the House of Ayreon-Kalirion. It was established by the issuance of the Charter of the House of Ayreon-Kalirion.
The Guard became controversial for its failure to prevent serious breaches of security, resulting in the miscarriage of one of Queen Noor's pregnancies and the subsequent poisoning of two of her sons. As a consequence the Guard, at least in Goldshire was severely purged during the year 1639 - with many members of the guard being dismissed or crucified by the ESB-Jörmungandr Group which administered the purge in Goldshire on behalf of the Queen.
