Founding and Opening Shots
Gambling and Antica
In the winter of 2004-2005, The Dinarchy of Antica developed her first bank. The system, a PHPBank designed by Sander, kicked off a whole new wave of legislation and ideas. After about a weekof trying to make a living as an artist, Foghorn contracted Delphi Augustus to create a casino and integrate it into the bank. After the framework was created, Olorix was brought in to design the interior. In it's first hour of operation the casino brought in more than 400þ of pure profit. Over the next few weeks, Foghorn became the richest man in Antica.
Making friends and Invading
A few weeks later, Foghorn took a look at the balance of his bank account, did some quick math, and realized that he could hire up to four people for seven weeks with his current funds. And so, he contracted Olorix to make images. After the Antican economy became saturated, Foghorn began looking elsewhere for places to peddle his wares. The Antican Government, while Foghorn was looking around, decided to send him on a diplomatic mission to San Martin, a developing nation with a massively inflated economy. Once there, he realized that he could make a killing selling images (going for about 20,000M at the time) for 100M each. And so, to take care of the exchange rate, he hired Gemini-DC. Unfortunately, before doing business, Foghorn needed to apply to the San Martino government for a permit. And a requirement for this permit was the name of the business, which Foghorn had neglected until this point. Perusing a military dictionary, Foghorn happened on a fitting description: "A person attempting to board a vessel without permission," or a Zulu 5 Oscar.
Exchanges
After a while, it became too costly to maintain Olorix as an artist, and Foghorn promptly fired his ass. However, Gemini already had a new idea about how to make money. With the emerging economies all over the world, businesses needed to exchange their money in order to function across borders. And so, Zulu 5 Oscar would fill the currency exchange niche. Gemini handled the exchange rates for every new nation the business expanded into; Shireroth, Natopia, the list goes on and on. And Zulu 5 Oscar's coffers grew bigger every day.
Weapons Free
With the outbreak of the Red Antillean war, Foghorn's attention was drawn away from the business. He was given command of the Naval Infantry, which subsequently spearheaded the invasion of the Red Antilles and initiated it's downfall. After the war, the surplus of troops gave Foghorn another great idea. Employing yet another person, Foghorn began pooling resources from around the globe to found Zulu 5 Oscar's weapons division. The man in charge was none other than Antica's own Octavius Me. For a while, Foghorn even had a private army, for rent by the highest bidder. However, due to legal problems, the army soon fell apart.
Moving Day
With the resignation of Foghorn from Antica in August of 2005, Z5O followed suit and left Antica, in favor of a new headquarters in Yardistan.

Today, Zulu 5 Oscar has become less and less capitalist. Here are the main products of today, and how they began:
The Micronational Wulaptonachgat
Antica's newspaper, the Antican Herald, is run by the state. An as such, it's news is often biased. One fateful day, Thursday, Febuary 24, 2005, Foghorn launched a rival publication. The newspaper was intended to publish not only Antican news but also less reported foreign news. And as such, it was christened the Micronational Wulaptonachgat, or the "Micronational Good News" when translated from Lenni Lenappe. The publication prides itself on it's brevity and timeliness, and is one of the more active publications.
KZFO Radio
Following Scott Alexander's highly sucessful stint as broadcaster of KIRS, Foghorn decided that radio was the way of the future, and started KZFO. Broadcasting from his bunker in Nafticon, Antica, he produced eight shows containing as simple summary of the day's news, and hired Brandon Sullivan to continue the broadcasts. However, the people craved more. And so Foghorn began implementing new techniques. The first addition was music to the beginning of each show, followed by more music at the end. When this novelty wore out, Foghorn began interviews. The first such interview was with Octavius Me. Ever since, the show has been centered around the interview. With the advent of Podcasting, KZFO hopped on that bandwaggon as well. Shows are now delivered over the internet at no fee whatsoever to anyone at all.
