The nation was thrown into paralysis today as large numbers (and possibly all) of EZboard's forums, as well as its main website, were made unavailable, including Shireroth's.

The first period of unavailability lasted until approximately 10:30 pm EST, when the staff here were finally able to access all forums that had disappeared. Within a matter of minutes, however, a number of boards went unavailable again, including the Shirerithian forums, with only server maintenance alerts answering attempts to gain entrance.

However, several boards, such as the Atteran forums and those of MNN, seem to have escaped this second wave of malfunctioning, and are apparently working normally.

FNORD! ...Squared!

MNN's continued functioning is fortunate, because it means that the 2005 FNORD Awards can go on unhindered; our reporters are live at the scene, bringing us the results as we speak. The awards are being presented by President Kevin Baugh of Molossia.

For Personal Awards, the winners are: -Shyriath Bukolos for: Best Avatar -Robert Davis, the Duke of Altamore, of Gotzborg for: Most Committed Micronationalist -Tahmaseb Shah of Babkha for: Least Arrogant Micronationalist

For Community Awards, the winners are: -David Redstone for: "Tis But A Flesh Wound" Award for Refusing to Give Up in the Face of Failure -Ras Noseworthy of Attera for: Odlum Award for Overall Achievement -Face-to-Face Speech for: Best Communication Medium (to be accepted by Tahmaseb Shah for suggesting the Amsterdam meeting) -Regio Mayo for: Best Message Board -Atteran Chronicle World for: Best Newsblog (darn... but still, congrats, the Atteran Chronicle World is a fine publication and deserved it well) - Sander Dieleman, Iain de Vembria and Jack Santucci's MNN News Feed Development for: Einstein Award for the Best New Idea -Delphi Augustus of Antica for: National Leader of the Year - Saturday, January 8, 2005 in Amsterdam for: Best Micronational Night (to be accepted by Darius Rugahi (aka Trevon Andarosel) for arranging it) -the Kingdom of Gotzborg for: Best Website

For National Awards, the winners are: -the Kingdom of Babkha for: Most Efficient Government -the Kingdom of Babkha for: Most Culturally Developed Micronation (WHAT?!? Dude, we SO should've got... okay, okay, congratulations. :P) -Shireroth's March to the Landsraad Hall for: Saeed al-Sayyaf Award for Best Propaganda -the Kingdom of Babkha for: Most Unusual Micronation

Well, there you have it! A big round of applause for the winners, and an equally big round of Benacian grog for the losers!
