As Shireroth approaches Oustfest on January 14th, it appears that the great and ancient tradition of throwing out those whose jobs aren't getting done shall be celebrated with vigor this year.

Kaiser Mors IV, having already named a new Minister of the Exterior after the resignation of Scott Alexander, looks set to appoint up to four other new Ministers in the days ahead. With Minister of the Interior Ruhan Zarathustra Erudinzadeh currently busied with macronational matters, Minister of Information Gryphon the Pure wishing to switch from Minister of Information to Minister of the Interior, Minister of Military Affairs Harvey Steffke missing in action, and the Ministry of Trade currently unoccupied and rotting in the sun, a major changeover in the executive branch seems to be badly needed.

The Kaiser, having been notified of the approaching holiday of Oustfest on Friday, apparently intends to replace his Ministers on that day as part of the celebrations. Oustfest commemorates a day when, in order to help revitalize the nation, a number of inactive citizens were fired from their jobs and kicked out of Shireroth.

The new... cabinet, for lack of a better collective term for all the Ministries together, is expected to look something like this after the changeover:

Minister of Information: Scott Alexander. Aside from the things he does for the website anyway, Scott also does amusing Malarbordates. The tree shall speak once more!

Minister of the Interior: Gryphon the Pure. Although currently Minister of Information, Gryphon has expressed his dissatisfaction with website management, and since the absence of the current Minister he has been managing the forums anyway.

Minister of the Exterior: Sir Iain de Vembria. Already appointed after the resignation of Scott Alexander, this longtime Treesian has been an admin on the MNN forums and was recommended by the outgoing Minister as his successor.

Minister of Trade: Erik Mortis Brookshire. Although he has expressed some gloomy sentiment about the future of the economy, Erik has announced his hope to back the Erb with silver, and perhap mint actual Erb coins... which, even if it manages not to be of practical use, is still pretty nifty.

Minister of Immigration and Naturalization: Alexandra Decens. She's been doing the job for approximately forever, so she's staying on.

Minister of Research and Education: Ari Rahikkala. He was appointed when previous Minister Nick the Yardistani offered his resignation to Kaiser Raynor XI several months ago, and will be retained in his post.

Minister of Military Affairs: This is the most uncertain post, with the Kaiser apparently considering two candidates. One, Director of Research Capabilities Fax Celestis, has presented a plan for dividing up the military into several new branches with nifty acronyms; the other, former MoMA Greg Russell, has not campaigned strenuously for the Kaiser's attention but has definite experience to draw upon.
