After a brief start, the peace negotiations between the VCC and the RCC being mediated by the Kaiser seem to have ground to a halt. A representative of each faction had been summoned to the the reserve thread to hammer out their differences, with Alan Grieve speaking for the VCC, and Jacobus speaking for the RCC. Although Mr. Grieve was able to get as far as some informational background about his nation, a preliminary statement seems to have been preempted by Jacobus, who quoted a statement on the VCC forums by the President: "if Jacobus wants to negotiate he will have to officially renounce any claims to Cyberian lands, Cyberian thrones, or any relation to CYberia and denounce all terrorism agianst Cyberia. This will require more than simple name changing it will require Jacobus to give up his quest to destroy the Cyberian government and subvert the Cyberian people. He will need to dissolve the RCC and create his own micronation that is completely new and not relating to Cyberia, if he so chooses to put that micronation under Shireoth so be it."

Jacobus declared this to be "an ultimatum of surrender, not an offer of peace":

"I reject totally the charge of Terrorism, and levy it back from whence it came. Dozens of Cyberians were terrorized, bullied, and hounded from the country. The latest being someone who returned to Cyberia to answer slanderous charges bandied about by persons of authority. Your preisdent banned him rather than charge him, investigate, or apologize."

Mr. Grieve was adamant that negotiations could not continue until Jacobus withdrew his claim to be Emperor of Cyberia. When this was not addressed, he declared that:

"Cyberia will take no part in this process while the person Jacobus asserts a claim to be emperor of Cyberia.

The person Jacobus would do well to withdraw his claim, deal with the Atteran and Morovian issues, and provide the same information Cyberia has always freely provided.
All we're seeing is the customary deceit where the person Jacobus proclaims his willingness to negotiate and then finds ways to assert his claims and avoid negotiation."

Nooooo! Don't Leave Us!

Two micronationalists recently announced their intentions to leave not only Shireroth, but micronations altogether. David Beckford, known also as Conglacio Geisteskrank, the Baron of Lac Glacei, and Ryan Caruso, also known as WarVoid, the Count of So-Sara and Cartographer of the MCS, have both said that this time they mean it, they're leaving, and they're not coming back.

To this, we say: Yeah, right. But we would also like to wish these two the best of luck in their future endeavors, and hope that they at least come and visit often... because if they don't, we will EATS them, my precioussssss!

What, THAT Old Thing? Despite rumors and all evidence to the contrary, development of the Benacian language is still ongoing (if by "ongoing" you mean "in fits and starts"). More information can be found here.
