One of the first bills introduced to the Landsraad in the term of the new Prtor (by the Prtor himself!) is the Landsraad Procedural Realignment Act I (http://p211.ezboard.com/fshirerothfrm25.showMessage?topicID=405.topic). This act would seek to implement a previously-suggested idea that Landsraad procedure, as listed in Chapter IV of the Lawbook, be removed to a separate document.

Proponents have pointed out that it will keep Landsraad procedure away from actual law, instead of mixing and confusing the two. Although objections have previously been raised due to the inconvenience of looking into two separate documents, the bill seems to be doing well, currently running Y-33 to N-3.

No More Distributed Votes?

Seeking to undo the changes to the Decreebook that permitted the Duchies ten distributed votes each in the Landsraad, Kaiser Raynor XI issued Imperial Decree #141 (http://p211.ezboard.com/fshirerothexecutiveoffice.showMessage?topicID=286.topic), pointing it out as a violation of the Charter. It is traditional in Shireroth for the Kaiser to refrain from excessive interference in Landsraad affairs, and legal opinion states that the Landsraad ahs the power to set its own voting system.

It is hoped by some that this decree will pave the way for the end of the distributed votes system, provoking change in the Landsraad structure.
