All hail the Kaiser, who returneth to free his Steward from all manner of tedious duties! His Majesty reappeared today after a bit of a vacation, although he has warned that he's still busy enough to be mildly inactive. In demonstration of this, he had his Steward Shyriath write a decree for him creating the Red Dragon Award, although afterward he took it upon himself to bestow it upon Eoin and Joseph for their help in making the Shirerithian Calendar system.

Hail the Prtor

Along with the returning Kaiser, we also had a returning Prtor. Eoin of Hyperborea has won the elections, and will soon be returning to his position as moderator of the Landsraad, hopefully restoring order to that chaotic body after a week or so of the Steward's mismanagement.

The View would also like to offer apologies to the runner-up Jadie of Goldshire. Not because of our editor's vote... for she has made it clear that she doesn't want apologies because of voting preferences... but for not reporting on her past experience in the role of Prtor, which should have been a factor in our reporting. (Not to make her sound old, but that was before my time. -Ed.)

Tales from the Khaz Modan

And Shyriath has come up with the first of several short stories about the mysterious age of the Khaz Modanian Empire, the entity that preceded Shireroth in the fictional history. Witness a snapshot of this ancient society at its height, thousands of years ago! See, through the words of the writer, the vast and ancient city of Ke'Najrad, the Imperial capital!
