View from Benacia/Issue 105: Erik Has Returned

With his presence increasing everywhere in Shireroth, and his recent reclaiming his place as Count of Monty Crisco, it appears quite clear now that Erik (yes, THAT Erik, the Glorious Founder Erik) is Back. All those who were, back when he left, mumbling quietly to themselves that he would indeed return.... hush up. Quit rubbing our faces in it, already. :P

Despite the predictions of several doomsayers, Erik did not promptly take his place upon the Golden Mango Throne; Kaiser Yarad I remains in place for the time being, and his New Feudalism project has received Erik's backing, despite his reputation as a conservative. One area where he HAS resumed a position of authority, however, is in the SSHIT forum, where (as SSHIT co-director type guy) he has once more taken up a stance firmly opposed to involving any Apollo legacy in the fictional history whatsoever. And, of course, arguing with Bill about it. (Or else Bill is arguing with him about it. We're not too sure.)

In other news, Slobovia temporarily declared war on the Dinarchy of Antica, but then undeclared it shortly thereafter due to a legal problem with the Emperor declaring war on his own authority. Or something like that. Though, speaking of Antica, the Landsraad looks set to pass a Treaty recognizing the Republic. It is believed that this, in turn, will cause the Dinarchy to break off relations with Shireroth.
