Hellz yeah! The meeting in New York, New York (the city so great they had to name it twice) is nearly here, this coming weekend in fact. Every Shirerithian who can, get your butt over there!

Detailed information can be found here, but in short, everyone who can is going to meet at the agreed-upon hostel on Friday night (others will come in as they're able), in Upper West Manhattan. On Saturday, the fun will begin, with a stop-off at the UN (to petition them to recognize us, or at least wave at us), some touristy-type sightseeing, and a meeting with the Anticans in New Rochelle. On Sunday, we'll be getting back down into Manhattan, meeting Bill... some of us might possibly be joining him for a gadget show at Javits Center, and those who are left over by Sunday night will spend the night before going home.

Note: This all seems subject to change depending on how things go, so what this really means is: prepare to be flexible.

It'll be more fun than a great big tub of good things, so be there if you can! And if you can't, don't worry... the entire editorial staff of the View (Shyriath) will not only be attending, but we'll be working on bringing you some classy visual records of the proceedings.

In other news, congratulations to Gudrun, a Stormarkian who also decided to join Shireroth (Elwynn, specifically) and was approved. Along with Harald, she ought to be doing some pretty Vikingy stuff over there!

And the Dual Citizenship Restriction Act (Take 2) was placed into the Landsraad this week, following the defeat of its previous version due to the lack of a grandfather clause. The bill would tighten the citizenship laws so that nobles and ministers may only have one citizenship outside of Shireroth; with the new grandfather clause, it will exempt present nobles, for as long as they remain in their positions. One they leave the position, though, they lose the protection even if they come back to the position later.

And, Oz seems to be trying to move Halluci culture to Elwynn... though not without some bitterness, I might add.
