Revolution
Revolution From Microwiki
Revolution can be roughly defined as a movement within a nation with either the intent or result (or possibly, but not necessarily, both) to forcibly replace the existing government with a new one. Such events can dramatically change, or even lead to the downfall of, a micronation.
Revolution usually occurs when the previous government:
* is severely at odds politically with a certain group; * is associated with a group with irreversibly poor performance; * refuses to accommodate the wishes of a group for change; * some combination of the above, though not excluding other reasons.
The term revolution tends to imply a large amount of popular support, whereas a takeover by a smaller, less publicly supported group tends to be referred to as a coup.
In online micronations, where administrative power over a nation's messageboards is often kept by the political establishment of that nation, revolution often involves moving to an entirely different set of boards, despite the loss of archival material that this entails.
