Neemite

The Neemites are a people that can be found in the northern third of Yellow Island. They lived on the island before the conquest of Nett Opaegh. The Neemites are a distinct ethnic group and have remained distinct from the other tribes on Yellow Island. It is believed that following the collapse of the Imperium of Menelmacar, which left Yellow Island lawless and nearly vacant, a group of Karnali from Ilam set sail to settle on Yellow Island.

The Neemites have retained considerably local autonomy thanks to their early alliance with Nett Opaegh. A famous Neemite, Chow Dhury, served in the early Natopian government which ensured the survival of the Neemite's state, Tas Neemia. Neemite culture retains connections to its ancient Karnali roots which stands in stark contrast to the Neemites' neighbors on Yellow Island.
