Imperial Decree 899

In the name of the Kaiseress of Shireroth, ALTEA LOMAX, Imperial Steward, unto the people of the Imperial Republic GREETING: and to the Gods and Goddesses of Sxiro undying and unthinking obsequience.

Know that I decree the following:

IMPERIAL DECREE 899
Pertaining to the Regulation of Alcohol Sales

1. Imperial Decree 864 is amended as follows:

a. by striking "Public Houses" from section 1 and inserting "duly licenced Public Houses and Liquor Stores";
b. by striking "scourged and expelled from the city" from sections 4 & 5 and inserting "subject to the full penalties associated with the offence of Unlawful Commerce";
c. by striking section 7 and inserting a new section 7 which reads "7. An Imperial Pint, known as a leivu, is 500 milliliters, and a barrel of beer, cider, wine, or spirits must hold 25 leivu.";
d. by striking "be known as a Committee of Rics and must contain 302 kg" from section 8 and inserting "contain 400 leivu";
e. by striking "expelled from the city and" from section 10;
f. by striking "uncompromisingly Imperial Gothic Revival" from subsection 11(a) and inserting "amenable to their surroundings and to the greater architectural style of the City of Shirekeep";
g. by striking subsection 11(b) and renumbereing accordingly;
h. by striking ", with the house possessing neither a radio nor a piano" from subsection 11(c);
i. by striking "tobacco and cigarettes, " from subsection 11(e);
j. by striking subsection 11(f) and inserting a new subsection 11(f) which reads "f. It must sell food, both in snack and in meal form, of good quality and at reasonable prices.";
k. by striking subsections 11(g) & (h) and renumbering accordingly;
l. by striking "shall be maintained that must be kept separate from the cesspit" from subsection 11(i) and inserting "and restrooms shall be provided and maintained"
m. by inserting a new subsection to the end of section 11 which reads "If the publican furnishes television, he shall broadcast relevant and important events, both sporting and otherwise; shall procure and maintain the necessary equipment &c. for so doing; and shall provide sufficient televisions so as to be visible to the entirety of the public bar, and to other bars of his choosing."; and
n. by inserting a new section at the end of the Decree which reads "Nothing in the foregoing shall forbid a Publican from operating a liquor store, off-licence, packie, or &c. on the premises of his Public House, or immediately adjoining such, and under the same licence.".

2. Any Imperial Decree, law, measure, or &c. contravening this Decree is repealed.
