Elfinshiyehafir (also spelt in Babkhi as Elfinshiye Hafîr or Elfinshiye Hâfir; in Elw: Elfinxijehafir also spelt Elfinxijehaafir) is a city and bailiwick in the inland of western Alalehzamin and Utasia. Population (1624) 2,511,031.

The city was founded by Baron Ardashir as Elfinshiye Hafîr (long vowel on the ultimate syllable), a name that means "Tomb of the Elfinshi" (singular). However Ayreonists attempted to change the pronunciation of the city to Elfinshiye Hâfir (long vowel on the penultiminate vowel) which ended up giving the town the non-sensical name of "the Elfinshi's hoof" or "the Elfinshi digger" as a more politically correct and neutral name. Accordingly, in Elw the city is often pronounced with a long penultimate vowel, while in Babkhi with a long ultimate vowel. A compromise is though that neither language write the name with any long vowels, and that the pronunciation varies depending on the speaker.
