Malarbor says: New heir, new dukes, maybe new economy

[Scott of Hyperborea]

All hail Kaiser Corey...but not just yet. Loki III has named Oroigawa Koreyasu as his heir, to take effect only when he abdicates in a month or so.

Until then, nobility-watchers can content themselves with two ducal-level power shuffles. Iskander Mirkdale is the new Duke of Elwynn, and after a long interregnum Mike Fors has become the latest Duke of Brookshire. Long live everyone involved!

The economy's in a state of flux right now: Duke Ari would prefer a system of Landsraad auctions, and Minister Andreas is considering a total reboot. But complete lack of faith in the value of money is no excuse not to invest in our latest company, ShireAir, or get a job in the DiploCorps.

Greg Russell, Shireroth's oldest citizen besides Erik, has announced a permanent LOA, but we don't believe him and plan to ignore it for now.
