These. Awesome sheep or awesomest sheep?

Spotted on SA. High-resolution fractal flames rendered from genes of hand-picked sheep on the sheepserver.

(they're called sheep because the medium-resolution versions of these images are displayed by the electric sheep screensaver, which in turn is named after Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?. The screensaver looks pretty nifty in action, too.)

Hmm, I've been working on a book of 8 1/2 X 11 full page illuminated designs which look similar to some of that. Didn't know those fractals were called "electric sheep" but it makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. Maybe I'll scan a page or two some time. I've been working on this thing since '99 and I've only got 4 pages finished.
