simply some ideas i have bouncing around for the county, feel free to add or post anything along the lines if the spirit moves you.

Ran Dansin, the Bard and Duelist extraordinare, oddly enough, he TOO wore a large checkered hat out of which he would pull many strange and wonderous items. He wandered across many lands but it is said that Ran was his land of origin and none remember what it was called before him (unless of course someone does remember and lets me know) Though not entirely instrumental in the areas founding, he was a major tuner of its culture and heritage. a most unusual character ( one of my first D&D characters to be honest) he constantly sought new and exciting adventures to inspire his works. he composed songs such as: "Jackalope Love Song", "Ballad in Lament of the Passing of Kyle, Stealer of Worlds", "The Censorship Song", "Marius, e Darien Dirge" and "The Lament of the Exiled Smurf and His Return"

although i havnt altogether figured out the total intergration into the county i think it's an amusing start. and i'll prolly head to ELsinar next to strat to tie ALL of Vorpmadal together ina a long zany vein.
