... for what it's worth, BTW, I apologise for the ShireWiki article on Antica and how it completely ignores the existence of the Republic. That's simply my fault. I wrote that tiny article really quickly, and I was never around much during the existence of the Republic of Antica anyway (I spent July 2005-July 2006 in the army and September 2006-September 2007 mostly sulking at home over Shireroth's general state of deadness and my part in causing it). For that reason, the Republic of Antica really did always seem like a kind of a distant nation with little significance in Shirithian affairs to me. Once I get back to the Wiki I'll fix that, unless someone else does it first...

How can Steven claim my manipulations are behind KZFO not winning a FNORD? I have, for two years, been the strongest supporter of your show in the FNORD awards. I have also awarded KZFO the Malarbor Award in order to express my disappointment at its poor showing. Last year, Foghorn even said in the awards thread "Thank you Scott for your wonderful award. For the second year in a row, we at KZFO gratefully accept the Malarbor Award for Journalistic Nift, and would like to thank you for your support." I request...no, DEMAND an on-air apology from Steven for his scurrilous comments.

As for the disagreements between me and the Anticans, they were mostly over four issues:

1. I thought Delphi was a human being, whereas they thought he was some kind of ogre.
2. I thought the two Anticas should set aside their difference and come back together, whereas they thought that was ridiculous.
3. I thought Delphi deserved a fair hearing on the Tgaoth matter, whereas they demanded I lynch him.
4. I thought the MCS rules on land grants during rebellions should be followed, they thought they should get all Antican land immediately
SPECIAL BONUS DISAGREEMENT: I thought Steven should be locked up far away from human contact for his own good and that of society, whereas they at one point elected him Speaker.

Meanwhile, recently the Anticans recreated their country as a combination of Dinarchial and Republican elements, are trying to convince Delphi to join, admitted Delphi was n Tgaoth, and ended up following the land grant rules but getting the land fair and square later anyway.. So I don't see why we can't all just admit I was right and move on.

When I was in charge, they were that each successor state gets an percent of the land equal to its percent of the citizenry (so if 3 people revolt from a 10 person country, they get 30% of the land). The cartographers try to divide the territory in a culturally appropriate way, giving the rebel country the provinces in which most of its citizens lived before the rebellion. There wasn't a rule about who gets the capital, which caused lots of trouble during Menelmacar, but the unofficial rule was that whoever stayed truest to the spirit of the original nation got it.

These rules are still up in a forgotten corner of the MCS site, but I don't know if anyone follows them anymore.

I remember when the Antican Revolution happened, they gave us only Nafticon island. I think I was one of the few who was content with that, since we were, after all, revolting and Nafticon island was supposed to be our base of operations.
