about the anti car treaty

Post by Conglacio »

we as a barony have had no interactions with Antica yet and have decided voting in favor or against would be outside our knowledge and best judgment.
oh come on now, since when has that been a concern? If we only voted ok on treaties if every voter had allready had dealling with the nation, then either we would never have a treaty with anyone, or we would have to have 1/2 our citizens living in a foreign country for weeks on end!

you vote yes or know based on what seems sensible, a quick 2 second look at the forum, and what ever the foriegn minister says, if it seems interesting. thats all.

i would really rather say abstain because although i still see this as a hobby i treat my hobbies witha seriousness, therefore, not putting my vote either way allows others with more info to make the decision.

seeing as ive only been a micronationalist for 2-3 months and a baron for not even half that I thought it most prudent to vote as I did.

sorry it ruffled your feathers.
im doing as much research on all these nations and lands and stuff as fast as my RL obligations can allow.

yeh but, if only those who had done uber research on the matter voted, then we would never have enough votes available to get the thing passed!

The only person who, under normal circumstances would have any knowlege of a polace is the foriegn minister, or his minions....if they say go, then fine!

The Republic of Antica is one of two seperate parts of what was formerly the Dinarchy of Antica.

Originally, the Dinarchy was ruled by two monarchs: Delphi Augustus and Octavius Me. Internal fighting, mainly fueled by citizens who disliked Delphi, caused a massive emmigration and the formation of the Republic of Antica, a democratic country holding many of the top-level citizens of the Dinarchy.

The Dinarchy got taken into Shireroth through some treaty or another, at least until it can get back on it's feet. The Republic has had shaky relations with Shireroth, partly because we took in Delphi and partly because we took a stand of neutrality between the two Anticas. This treaty is the first step to rebuilding relations and establishing a more stable relationship with the Republic.
