I would like to submit my name for consideration as Provost. I currently hold no office other than Duchess, nor am I really interested in most of them right now.

As Provost, my interest would be in fairness and the rule of law. In the case of a personality dispute being brought to court as a legal battle, my ruling would always side with the law in question, not with the opposing personalities. I always strive to be fair and generally stay out of personal disputes, and I would continue this as Provost, looking only at the facts of a case brought before me. Having few loyalties to particular people aside from friendship and the comraderie brought by being in this nation together, I feel that I can be impartial when making decisions.

With the very helpful wiki formatting of the Lawbook, Decree book and the Charter, as well as my time as Praetor and recent Bill's efforts at updating and examining the Lawbook etc., I feel that my knowledge of the current laws in Shireroth, while rather decent, will only be able to increase, and being Provost would be a wonderful reason to read up on our laws and examine them more. In addition, I would encourage citizens to start bringing more cases before me that had to do with laws in violation of the Charter, as the Provost has the power to strike those down immediately without needing to run every detail of correcting a law through the Landsraad.

I hope that this gives you some idea of how I would approach the position, and my attitude toward it. I consider the position of Provost to be a useful one, but sadly underused. I hope to change that.
